Time for SODAFINE!
Okay New Yorkers! Now's the time to get your act together and head on over to Sodafine boutique in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Erin [the owner of the shop in the white dress:) ] has just refashioned the place with an arty sophisticate style. The items of the independent designers [including yours truly :) ] that she has stocked are treasured pieces, some being one of a kind. Sure go on over to Urban Outfitters and H&M to get your wears, but I warn you....you WILL look like everyone else on the block! Here is just a wee little list of some of the designers she carries: Feralchilde, Wooden Mustache, Dear Birthday, Bakelite bits, Purldrop, Tina Ruth and that's just to name a few. Plus last but not least, my favorite bit of news to share :) I found out the Meg White of the White Strips recently bought 3 of Erin's crochet doily collars [her line of accessories called Purldrop] from Paper Boat Boutique in Milwaukee, WI. And she wore the black one [same one as shown in the picture on my friend Holly] to one of their shows they put on! Hats of to Erin! :) Have a good weekend everyone & don't forget to make some time for reflection on those lost on 9/11..... My heart goes out to all who was affected by that. 246 dekalb avenue.
