Finally, finally finished my circle skirt!!! Im so proud of myself because........... the beginning of the semester I was desperately struggling with my draping and pattern making class, but now I feel it has *clicked*! Which is so odd to say that, because ive been sewing since I was 10 [but I was mediocre] and then was super hard core about it when I moved out here etc. etc. .... but yes my skirt is done, I draped it, cut it out, the whole nine yards. And hopefully I can wear it, I haven't tried it on yet. But im thinking that this skirt paired with a nice cowl neck mohair sweater, black tights and ballet flats will make such a cute outfit! Plus it is great for twirling in, for those of you who like to twirl! :) lol I LOVE to twirl...... ahahaha lol - no really I do! p.s. the bottom right picture is of the blind stitch! My *favorite*

Oh my goodness, the skirt is fantastic and the perfect fabric for the shape too. It has a vintage feel which is always a good thing, congrats on completing this it's beautiful!
the skirt is gorgeous Roxy!
I hope you're doing well, great to hear you're keeping busy with school
This is a beautiful skirt! Your work (even pre-Parson's) has always been inspirational and this circle skirt is just another example of that skill and talent shining through.
My goodness. Every time I check your blog I feel like I've entered your secret part of the internet. You are operating on a whole other wave (away from the trends, away from what everyone else is doing)! It's refreshing.
Thankyou so much ladies for your super thoughtful comments. I wouldn't have thought it had a vintage feel, but that might be because ive been with the fabric for so long, but im thrilled you think so crust. :)
