Cloisters

So yesterday I trekked all the way up to 190th st. ~ perhaps I shouldn't say it like that because #1 it really wasn't a trek since the A train goes from 59th st. up to 125th I believe non stop! So that saved a load of time...... OKAY ====> all I have to say about the Cloisters is FANTASTIC!!!!!! LOVE IT!!! I think im going to convert over to Catholicism. :) lol The Catholic artwork on display at the Cloisters is so enchanting and inspiring! I can't wait till I can renovate my "future" country house someday because I would love to have it mimic the Cloisters!!! Sadly I went by myself and didn't really have anyone to share the love of the scenery with but all was good... here are some pictures from that little jaunt. :^)

Fusion Apparel - Part 1

Here are a couple pictures of one of my models Richard :^) he is originally from Taiwan. In the picture I only made the t-shirt and jacket [not the jeans ~ pictures of those later] but so far so good, im really happy with how everything has turned out thus far! Especially the jacket....this summer if I have time im going to make one almost like it in my size ...that's how much I love it!!! Just incase any of you are interested, I got the pattern for the coat from greenpepperpatterns.com [I think that's it, if not then just google green pepper patterns] :) p.s. Stella, I think Richard kinda looks like your husband if I remember correctly! :^) 0h p.p.s ~ the bottom of the coat is not finished yet so don't pay any attention to that tail hanging down :) & the triangles on the t-shirt are Glow-in-the-Dark! Hurray for Glow-in-the-Dark anything!!! :) ahahah lol

Humph!

My 2D teacher is killing me people!!! The man is nice but for the love of god - why must somebody talk 1 1/2 each week on hue, saturation, color etc.!!!!?????? So I dodged my 2D assignment last night for an hour to do a lil 2D of my own [?] anyways...ill be a posting pictures FOR REAL of some of my mens wear stuff tonight - stay tuned :)

Pol-y-he-dro-n update :^[]

So in my 3D class on Thursday I worked like a mad woman to cut out my polyhedrons in leather, punching holes in them and sewing them up. So far ive got five of those made and I need to make about 10-13 more I think to make my little necklace of just those ~ and and then I made a broach - and then after spraying all my poly. beads and making some tinier leather polyhedron beads I will attatch them to that nice brass chain along with some already brass and silver tiny super tiny poly. beads that I have. Im going to make some earrings as well but haven't got started on those yet. This has been such a fun homework project for me and so inspiring that I will make a bunch to sell on my site [finally!!!!] It has literally been ages since ive had anything up for sale on lil ol Roxy Marj.com :^0 and those earrings and jewelry that I put up in a week or two won't be one of a kind ~ so many people can have a piece if they wish..... oh to correct myself...I really shouldn't say "that I put up" because it is Hiro that is doing the putting up/posting for me since html is a stink bomb for me :/ pooey ~ anyways next Thursday ill have pictures of everything completed...PLUS!!!! This Sunday were are having a model fitting for Fashion Fusion that im participating in so Sunday night or Monday morning ill finally post some pictures of my wares on my models! Very excited for that! ***

Polyhedrons to the Max!

In my 3D class we are making polyhedron [ a solid figure with many plane faces, typically more than six] sculptures. I knew right away I wanted to make jewelry out of polyhedrons ~ so I decided to stick with one color palette for this [gold] different shades ofcourse. I got some "Crafters Metallic" spray paint in a gold matte and it is AMAZING!!! I sprayed some of my polyhedron beads with it and they look really fantastic! No runny streaks, nice satin finish etc. So im happy about that....then I made a different variety of polyhedron patterns and traced them on my gold kid skin leather and are sewing them up - and I will also trace them on my ribbon of brass I got in Chinatown, and try my hand at constructing those...much harder I think - especially since I had to get plastic welder - which ive never used and quite frankly am afraid to. So for now these are the pictures ive got of some of the materials I will be using ~ ill update more on it tonight after my 3D class - to show what ive done thus far. :)
