GAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Only 31 more days till school is out and then im thee big J-U-N-I-O-R!!! Woot Woot* This week was so crazy due to all my homework that needs to be done, but sooooo much fun! For my advertising class, our final project we are asked to make an advertisment in two mediums and it can be in any time period from the 1800's to now. So with the help of an amazing friend I am making a commercial for Breck Shampoo [do any of you remember Breck?] :[) Basically im starting in the 40's and will end in the 60's... imagine the 40's drawing merging into the 50's and then 60's...oh yeah! It is going to merge into that with the background poping out every where...so this weekend ive gotta do a TON of drawings of the faces slowly turning in order for them to flow smoothly into one another...oh gosh, I CANNOT wait for it to be finished and post it on my blog...It is sooo cool! After watching my friend animate just the background, I was ready to give up fashion and go into animation! It reminded me of John Cusaks character in Better Off Dead, when he is in the cafeteria drawing the girl he likes and the highschool jock, and then watching them come to life!!! I want to make all my drawings come to life now!!!! :( mmmmmmm.....
Then my finishes, flats, swatches & moodboard homework for Friday's concepts class was due. That was a challenging assignment to work on. Men are not easy to draw, but it was fun and hopefully I can do it again next year. I love swatching for fabric and organizing them in a pleasing way, hence a picture of my swatchboard... and then I put up a picture of my flats just because. That whole project took me about 13-15 hours...actually maybe a little longer. The funny thing is that it doesn't look like it, but because we have to paint everything, and you usually have to do it in layers, it eats away at time so quickly!!! But the final outcome is so satisfying and you end up with something that is worth treasuring!
And because my life in New York City is not complete without babysitting/hanging out with my homegirl Emily! PEACE - WORD-HOLLA....<- This girl rocks... seriously every time im with Emily and her sister Annie, I always wish "oh why can't we all be the same age" :) lol yesterday after picking Emily up from school we went shopping for a dress she needs to get for one of the 5 million bat mitzvahs she has been invited to. Then we chopped on over to Starbucks to get a chai grave? I dunno the name, emily did the ordering, and then back to her place for some of thee good old fashion drawing games that we love to do. Im going to post a bunch of pictures of that next week, especially, because emily found some drawings from wee long ago that are too cool! :[) I love my life! I really have nooooo room what-so-ever for complaints!
boo...my spell check is not working...oh dear, you all will found out of what a fraud I really am, and not a good speller at all:/)
