My sister and I are finally moving into an apartment this Friday! We are moving to BROOKLYN! Woo Hoo... I cannot tell you how excited I am! Really if it wasn't for Hiro, I would already be living there. The other exciting part is starting from scratch and getting all new furniture pieces, however it will be a little tricky since my sister and I have pretty different styles when it comes to decorating. But so these past couple days we have been on craigslist looking for furniture, and today I have been browsing ebay for danish pieces [one of my favorite styles] and I came upon this AMAZING amazing vanity!!! :( It makes me so sad to know that I will never be able to get something like that right now. GAHHHH I can't wait till I graduate and get a real professional job and make lots and lots of money and buy everything my little heart desires! ahahahaha lol....only kidding.........

School is over for the summer my dear friends!!! I am now a Junior! Well not officially till the fall, but im starting now! :) I had a great 2nd semester, I loved my teachers as much as first, but I loved my section even more. There was an overall great supportive vibe that I didn't feel last semester. It is sooo nice to experience that and I really really hope that next semester I get as lucky. The first picture is of me in my last day of my Concepts class in front of my favorite collections I did over the semester, we got to choose our fav. 3, my picks were the knitwear, childrenswear, and menswear collections! :) Then the day after school ended, my sister Sarah took me out to lunch - to PRIME BURGER!!! That place rocks! You seat yourself where ever and the seats have trays that are connected to them that swivel in and out, it is so fun because you feel like your ready for take off when you sit down. What is even funnier is how TINY the food is, I swear they haven't changed the portion sizes or the menu since this place opened, which is kind of its novelty. I had to post pictures of this fabulous fabulous tapestry which is hanging up at my sisters work in the lobby. I could stare at it forever.... I thought all you readers would really enjoy this and be inspired in some form. Does it not make you want to sit down and start doing hardcore needlepoint? :^[) And just to give you all a little sneak peak into what I plan on doing this whole summer - PAINTING!!! :) But whatever style and theme I want! :) Since being introduced to gouache this year, im forever addicted and am excited to paint whatever I want now. Funny thing is though, the painting I did yesterday [which still needs some finishing touches] is fashion inspired [can't seem to get away from fashion], and I plan to do a whole little series of ladies...and men, patterns and perhaps dogs too! :)

Did anyone read yesterdays issue of WWD? On the cover were the three Seniors who were nominated for Designer of the Year for Parsons... Yesterday was the Senior fashion show at the Grand Hyatt here in NYC, my classmates and I got to go to the first show [there were three] The runway was soooooooo long!!!! It was literally 3/4 the size of a football field... it was so big - The show itself was amazing!!! I felt the Seniors this year did an amazing job, the clothing was sooo beautiful and well constructed, it gave me chills!!! But before the show started, Tim Gunn announced the winner of Designer of the Year, and it went to Boaz [guy in the middle] and Michelle? <- I think that is her name, who is to the right of him. It was a tie! :) Their pieces were beautiful, but what was really crazy was that Michelle - one of the winners, put $25,000 into her collection!!!!!! CRAZY! I really really hope mine does not exceed $10,00 <- and even that is CRAZY!!! :/
