This weekend my best friend and I took an impromptu trip out to Long beach. It was 80 degrees and enough time to get one last swim [first actually of the summer/fall! ha!] before it gets real cold. That was my first time out there - lots of fun, but lots to learn, I am the new kid on the block when it comes to swimming in the ocean. One important tip I kept relearning over and over again was "DON'T TURN YOUR BACK ON THE OCEAN" <- I kept doing that and was repeatedly being bamboozled by the large waves [5 feet high.... :) hehehe lol] that were trying to rip me to shreds. However, it was a blast! :)

Junior year [a.k.a jun-yer <- pronounced like someone from the south :) heheh lol] has begun! And with that a new Croquis book! Yay! Here is some pictures from my first collection this year, based off of the Masai Warriors, however, I think I went a little too far away from my inspiration and didn't take as much information from their dress as I should have. :( I just now finished decorating the cd covers for the 4!!! cds that I burned for my brother. I usually send him a new mix every 2-3 months, but this past year was basically Hell [meaning, I felt like a turkey running around with my head cut off] luckily things have slowed down, plus I am in a better place physically [new pad] and mentally [new brain] <- ahaha lol NO! Kidding........ :/ anyways, cd mixes are always fun to make and receive...anyone who is up for a swap. holla! Now - off to school to sew trousers, and then to temple with my drawing teacher [Jewish new year today I believe] then shopping report, print out readings, and then back home to start my finishes for concepts! WISH ME LUCK! Gahhhhh :(

School started last week, and things have been pretty crazy getting ready for school and whatnot. But now, even though it is my first semester of my Junior year, I have to say I think it will be really calm this year as opposed to last. LAST YEAR WAS CRAZY!!! But I have a lot of things and people to get back to, and you all know who you are - but just so everyone knows, I have not forgotten, and I will get to you all this week for sure! :)So far, school is good and I have lots to tell, so now that I FINALLY got internet service yesterday [folks ive been without for 3 months!!!] :( I can finally get back in the game! Lastly, this past weekend I was at the hells kitchen flea market real quick and came upon this super cute doll! My friend thinks she looks like a doll version of me! ahaha lol :)
