The one and only thing I got for myself while in London was this AMAZINGLY beautiful book titled "Brooch" There are a lot of pages and they are all transparent so you can see the next page behind it. Not really a book to buy for a little child but for your inner child! :)

The Lower West!!! - More videos to come - p.s. this video is cut off in the middle because my memory card got full. :( sorry

Last night my sister Sarah and I went to an in-house show here in Brooklyn, our friend Dom Moore is a singer songwriter and his group The Lower West performed their first show ever in Jeff's apt. Jeff is the one on the left hand side of Dom. All I can say is that The Lower West is my new favorite band and I CANNOT WAIT till their first album comes out. For their show I made posters for everyone - sadly they were black and white because my school's computer lab was closed yesterday so I wasn't able to do any print-outs from our super lux printers. :( Next time. Below is the poster I made for the show. :) Back from London!!! I went with one of my best friends [Ken] and we had a great time! I love everything about that city and hopefully-hopefully I will get into Royal College of Art [my first choice] X fingers crossed X :) Unfortunately Ken's camera was left on the plane that had 95% of the photos from the trip.... [AirIndia...PLEASE if you are reading this, can you return the camera!???] :( So all I have are some really dinky photos not really worth posting - so self portraits it is... also included are some drawings that I did while at the British Museum and The Victoria & Albert museum.

I forced myself to do one of my favorite passions last week ~ making jewelry! :) Due to being in school I can only make so many things, but I have managed to find some time to produce a few. Only 7 items, get them before my classmates do! :)

Came upon this family photo while looking for images online - so sweet! :)

A couple different posters I have designed for some of my favorite musicians. These were done on my own accord, since none of the bands I have emailed over the past couple years have ever gotten back to me about designing something for them, so I decided I would do it anyways! Ha! Take that you awesome musicians. :)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! <- Yes, that is me screaming - due to the last two weeks being hell basically! Our C.F.D.A project was due today, and cannot believe that it is over! Yahooey! :) I just remember thinking at the beginning of this semester, and how it seemed like such a crazy project and not knowing whether I would be able to finish that along with doing all my other homework for my other classes...but I was able to put the pedal to the metal and crank it out. I have to say, I did NOT want to hand it in yesterday, just because I had so much fun making the book, it's compartments, doing the treatments, printing the different swatches, and even drawing and painting the figures along with doing my flats. I guess because I really put everything into this project and knowing that it is something that I will treasure for the rest of my life, makes it even more special. I also had my vest due [well kinda sorta] this week, and now I have to make my rusty orange denim capris so I can get started on my Junior fashion show look, which is completely different from what I am working on now in class.... hope everyone's week has gone well so far .... :)

This past Friday I went to a show all by myself! Which is a huge deal for me considering that I have always wanted to go to a show or movie alone, but have never gained the courage to do so, I usually chicken out at the last second. But I went and it was awesome! I saw Dean & Britta who were formally of Luna, a band I have loved since I was 17, Karen Ann opened for them - she was great! And what is even cooler is that I just found out Britta Phillips was the voice for JEM back in the 80's <- remember that show ladies!? Uh huh!!! ;-) Here is my video of Dean & Britta performing at Music Hall of Williamsburg - Now my FAVORITE venue - their acoustics were fantastic!

Due this week in my Methods class was a piece for our Semester look. For my look I am making three pieces, a dress, vest and little orange denim capris.. Just finished the dress this week - after many muslin and oaktag paper drafts to create the perfect sloper [will do a separate post on that later] - Still a work in progress though...since I may decide to tighten the bottom cuff of the sleeve... I printed the word "fragile" all over the yolk which is made of metallic stretch linen, that is my favorite part of the dress. :) And I cut my little turquoise ulra-suede vest out Friday and just need to sew it up this weekend... hopefully it will turn out okay, I have never worked with ultra-suede before and am hoping it acts just like regular suede. Please excuse the expression on my face as it has been a LOOONG week due to the C.F.D.A competition we are all working on [Council of Fashion Designers of America] which is due this Thursday...wish me luck. HA! :/
